R&R

Well I'm back again. Trying to update more frequently is difficult, but one day I'll get the hang of it. Last week, I went and visited some friends back at Cumberland. I was able to swap some stories with my old friends Allejandro, Christhian, and Felipe Oliveira as well as meet some new friends like Evan. While I was over there, I didn't get too much riding in. However, I really had the chance to have a good time and make some memories.
This past week was pretty good as well. I had an interview for a job on Tuesday and have been dealing with that all week. I went and shadowed my good friend Mark Macnaughton during surgery on Thursday. That was a really cool experience that i was lucky to have. Hopefully I will have the chance to do that on a regular basis if I get this job. I learned a lot during that experience! I am very blessed to have friends like the Macnaughtons. They go so far out of their way to help me, and for that, I thank them.
Like I was saying, this past week has been kind of busy. Dealing with interview stuff, work, and riding; it has really taken it out of me. I try commuting as much as possible to be efficient and save gas, but sometimes that is hard. Especially with teaching my spin classes.
This past weekend, my wonderful sister and her family were in town to visit. It was great getting to see them again! I love my niece, she is the cutest thing in the world. Sometimes she throws tantrums, but what 2 year old doesn't?
Today has been a really rainy day, and I still have yet to ride. Either I will ride the trainer for a few or I will call this my r&r day. I have been on Youtube finding a bunch of new music. Some of the stuff I discovered is relatively unknown. So it is cool to find it before anyone else does. I am am thinking of starting a new blog where I post links to good songs. If you know me, you know that I love electronic music (techno.) SO obviously most of the songs would be of that genre. However, I like indie alternative as well, so I'm sure some of that will be thrown in there. Does anyone have any suggestions for a blog title? I'm thinking "The Crows Music" but that sounds really lame. I need some suggestions!
Til next time,

oops

Well so much for frequent updates. Where to begin? A lot has happened since my last update. For starters, my laptop crashed back in November. Took about a month to get a new one. After that, it was Christmas time. This was the worst Christmas I have ever had. Bar none! First off, my dads side of thing was not good at all. A lot of stress and drama coming from a bad situation which I won't go into detail about. Secondly and most importantly, my Grandpa died. This really just took the wind out of my sails. This is by far the worst tragedy I have ever had to deal with. I still get upset about it sometimes. I didn't think I would before he passed, but once he was gone, it really hit.
On another note, my sister Heather, is about to have her 2nd kid. I'm excited for her and my brother James! I love my niece Lilly and I can't wait to be an uncle again.
As far as riding goes, well, it's going. I am riding about 4-5 times a week which is the least I have done since 2008 and that was a horrible year for me. I am doing things differently now though. I am lifting a lot and I am working in a little bit more intensity. I am working 30 hours a week and that makes it tough to do the amount of riding volume that I did last year. This year, we have Giant bikes as one of our sponsors so I got me a new bike so I'm pretty pumped about that. Big thanks to the guys at Harpers bike store for it!
Well that was the shortest update I could give you, and I will leave it at that.
Til next time,
